UFSGrid General RolePlay Rules..... United Federation Starfleet Grid (UFSGrid) is a Star Trek themed 3D role-play environment game, please read our rules completely. Ignorance of the rules will not be considered as an excuse for inappropriate behavior in the grid. By logging into the grid you agree to abide by our rules and the decisions of the Grid Administrator (aka "Q Continuum”). We reserve the right to share IM conversations regarding moderation issues where it is needed.
All sims (Colonies, Planets, Empires), must follow these rules and environment rules as this set of rules “are” part of the UFSGrid Terms of Service (TOS).

Markets and Grid Welcome Areas
The landing point for UFSGrid is located aboard Deep Space 9. This area is a MERCHANT area and a WELCOME area and although is a fully Immersive RP area, it is a non combat zone. Deep Space 9 is destignated for ecommerce, information,welcome area and for users to customize their avatars. Certain RP rules do NOT apply for this area. For example...a killed user can walk around freely on Deep Space 9.
So far, the official payment options are:
1) OMC - Please contact Hera Q to get a vendor copy and be added to the merchant server.
2) Buying on SL and delivering on UFSGrid. (as a Merchants option).
The only markets allowed in world sims are those IC/RP markets to promote good rp, not real ecommerce (by example: you can role play to be a merchant and sell (freebies) items on a city market).
UFSGrid Official Groups
Preservers:Also called Mentors Users with admin rights in several areas of the grid. The Helpers can lead you through the grid basics, info and locations, as well to add you into the open builds or Keep to Fight sim groups.
Q Continuum: Owners, Admins and developers of UFSGrid
As the official groups may perform OOC task in RP zones, the group Tag must be activated when on duty as "mandatory".
Whenever possible, please address issues with the appropriate sim admin. in the first instance. They are best equipped to handle your issue in an efficient and timely manner. Role-play issues may also be addressed to the specific world role-play moderators group in the first instance, who have the full confidence of the admin team to resolve them appropriately.
ABOUT ADMINS AND MODERATORS
- UFSGrid is run by a group called "Q Continuum" to solve scaled issues that cant be solved by the sims admins. We are here to help.
- Each sim (or region if you own more than 1) is recommended to have 2 admins and 4 moderators, and should be arranged for different time zones. This is to help keep open communication for all on the sim and also with the Q Continuum. Add the List of moderators as the Covenant of your Land.
- ANY MODERATION MADE BY ANYONE OTHER THAN THE ONES LISTED, IS AN INVALID MODERATION AND WILL NOT BE HONORED
- If no moderator is available online, you may call upon any member of the Q Continuum.
- TheQ Continuum is in charge of the complaint department, no one is immune to complaints. Even admins and mods can have complaints against their self. If the complains have a true base and the admin/mod has lots of complaints about them,the Q Continuum will resolve the issue.
- If users disturb the Q Continuum for needless drama they will be warned 3 times and may be banned for 1 week from the whole Grid... not from a single sim.
GENERAL RULES
- Have fun, no drama. Your character may be an ass but when resolving disputes Out of Character, the keywords are RESPECT, CALM & COMPROMISE.
- All Users on UFSGrid must wear appropriate thematic clothes defined by the 24th century time the UFSGrid is set in
- There are not safe zones or non combat zones on the grid except Deep Space 9.
- OOC markets, real shops, or sky malls are not allowed on Mainland. We setup a separate region for merchants (DeepSpace 9), as a centralized shopping area. This also helps in reduce lag. The only markets allowed outside Deep Space 9 are those IC/RP markets to promote good rp.
- As discussed with the UFS community and in the forums, the children avatars are not allowed in UFSGrid, regardless of the mature age of the player
COMBAT SYSTEM & WEAPONS
- The only combat meter allowed on all the UFSGrid Grid, is the ?????Meter, created by (Working on it)
- The only allowed scripts in the weapons are those released with the…….. Further info will be published. You can always customize your animations, sounds or create anything that works with the Official System.
Any weapons that uses different scripts instead of the legal ones, or that alters the damage, improves the regulation combat performance, are considered illegal under the terms of UFSGrid rules and as part of the TOS, will be considered a violation of our Terms of Service and proper action will be taken, from a removal of the database assets until a permanent ban of the creator from the whole grid is accomplished.
ENVIROMENT RULES AND SIM (LAND) OWNERS RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS
- All sims (regions) can be modified to your own prefferences
- All sims need to be in the Star Trek theme
- The Sims owners can build at will over their sims respecting the environment and zone location.
- Sim owners, admins, and moderators are not “Gods”. As all sims are part of the Star Trek universe, the permanent ban of a user must be under the approval of UFSGrid Admins. In an urgent case you may ban people if they are griefing, and must be reported into the website forums and a support ticket as a communication channel to report griefers, bad behaviors, etc.
ROLE PLAY RULES
RULES OF ENGAGEMENT
- Combat meter is to be worn at all time.
- Resetting meter during combat is forbidden (unless it is agreed with all parties). If you get attacked while you are training/practicing you CAN NOT reset you meter. So please be careful where you are training/practicing at.
- Firing phaser/disruptor weapons under water is not permitted.
- You cannot fight with melee weapons in water, and have time to breath. Be realistic
- Captives can be aided during combat,
- The weapons must contain the legal scripts to be valid.
- No jumping during battles.
- No speed enhancers
- No invisible scripted shields and pushing scripts
- No sliding
- No animal walk/run ao's - unless your AV is a valid theme animal.
- If your group is in war with another group, and you are defeted in your homeplanet, without someone that can help on this situation in the present or the upcomming days. The winner group, as a realistic situation, can take over the properties actually in game., that are present on the moment -- ALL THIS ONLY IN A RP TALKING) for the death time of the defeated group.
- After the death time, the winner group must leave the conquered place and the residents must be released, in order for them to return to their homestone if they wish to. IS ASSUMED that the conflict end there, unless the still alive players give RP motives to keep the conflict on.
NOTE: This is a game to have fun and enjoy. Each sim owner, group owner invest money and lot of time to build, recruit residents for their sims/groups. A time period equal of the death time is enough to taste the reality of be on war, but the efforts and properties of each user are fully respected and no rights can be claimed out of role play after the death time.
